Candidates must have passed the Master’s degree examination from recognised university with minimum 55% marks in the subject of his/her interest.
Selection procedure for admission
Admission to PhD will be based on PhD Entrance Test (PET).
Candidates who have appeared for GATE/SET/NET/JRF examination/Teacher fellowship holder of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from appearing for PET.
Exam Pattern for PET
The PhD Entrance test shall consist of the various topics included in the compulsory/core papers at Postgraduate degree level in the respective subject of University of Mumbai.
The question paper will consist of three types of questions viz. Objective-40 marks; short answers-30 marks and long answers-30 marks.
Candidates securing 50 or more marks in entrance test will be declared as successful and eligible to apply for admission process.
